Dr. Yannopoulos is absolutely top notch in his field. His critical thinking and ability to listen to his patient is the best. He is well suited to Emergency Medicine. He saved my husband’s life! He was heading for sepsis but no tests showed it until he ordered an MRI and blood cultures. A spinal infection was found. I should mention that a hospitalist took over my husband’s care and canceled the MRI that Dr Y had ordered, delaying his diagnosis and treatment. I am forever grateful to Dr. Yannopoulos for his diagnosis which then made me insist on blood cultures before taking my husband home after the hospitalist discharged him and canceled the MRI. He is a wonderful doctor who really cares and wants to help his patients. The other doctor has been reported to the Maine Board of Medicine for obvious reasons.
