Difficulties accessing treatment for diabetes

She asked me, [INAUDIBLE],, are you diabetic? And I'm like, no, I'm not. And so when she did the test, she came back, yes, you are.

I remember being admitted into the hospital. They were giving me steroids. And one of the nurses just said, you know what,
let me check your sugars. Let me make sure everything's going good. And then she noticed that they were super, super high. So then she was like, OK, we need to test you for diabetes.
When I was first diagnosed, I was misdiagnosed. So at that time, no, I don't feel like I did have adequate access to treatment.
But now that I've been officially diagnosed and I've been diagnosed correctly, I have a lot of tools at my disposal.
So I feel that now, I'm on a good path, just to where I feel like I am getting better.
And my sugars are regulated. [AUDIO LOGO]
