If you like milk, if you don't have an allergy to milk, or you're not lactose intolerant, low-fat or fat-free milk is fine.
And in fact, we have studies showing that kids growing up eating low-fat milk or fat-free milk are healthier and get more nutrition than kids who are,
you know, maybe drinking soda or sugary beverages instead. [MUSIC PLAYING]
Is milk good for you? Well, it is the subject of some controversy. There's a whole lot of people who
believe that cow's milk is not healthy for humans, because it wasn't meant to be drunk by humans. And then there's a whole other faction
saying that milk is good for you because it has, you know, a lot of protein and calcium and vitamin D and all kinds of other things.
If you-- if you like milk, if you don't have an allergy to milk, or you're not lactose intolerant,
low-fat or fat-free milk is fine. And in fact, we have studies showing that kids growing up eating low-fat milk or fat-free milk
are healthier and get more nutrition than kids who are, you know, maybe drinking soda or sugary beverages instead. But if you don't want to be drinking milk,
if you're concerned about that, try some soy milk. You can get the unflavored. You can get unsweetened. You can even get the vanilla.
About the same amount of protein as cow's milk. And then you get your protein and your milk too.
