Milk, yogurt and cheese fortified with vitamin D are great, but for nondairy fans there's another (delicious) source of the Sunshine Vitamin, as nutritionist Kimberly Snyder explains.

KIMBERLY SNYDER: One of the best food sources of vitamin D is mushrooms. [MUSIC PLAYING]
Specifically, portobello mushrooms are a really fantastic source of vitamin D.
These portobello mushrooms have actually been grown in UV light. And only one cup, or about two mushrooms,
supplies 100% of the government's daily recommendation for vitamin D. [MUSIC PLAYING]
Other mushrooms are also good sources. White button mushrooms are pretty common. They're not as high as portobello, but they have some vitamin D. Other great mushroom is
maitake mushroom, also known as hen of the woods. And they're the longer mushroom with the furled tops.
And they're also an excellent source of vitamin D. Or some other great sources of vitamin D are fortified milk.
Even almond milk today, a serving has about 25% of your daily recommendation for vitamin D.
Goat cheese, the milk, would have been fortified with vitamin D. And you can get it in certain cheeses and milk.
[MUSIC PLAYING] Almond milk is a really great one
that I recommend because it's really easy to digest for most people. [MUSIC PLAYING]
