Alexander was incredibly astute, perceptive, inquisitive and thorough in his assessments and care from one appointment to the next; he never once left one stone unturned. I have great respect for him as both a responsible clinician and also his ability to understand and empathize. I especially liked that he was not one to over-prescribe; he knew the dangers of this and withheld from over-medicating when there were much healthier alternatives. I learned later he was absolutely right NOT to prescribe anxioltytics when I requested & he informed me of all the research to educate me and validate the extremely good reasons behind his decision. Not many will go to such great lengths to spend the time to invest in 'health-care teaching' as he did. He has tremendous gifts as a listener. He is also a very capable practitioner who can offer quality, well rounded, mental health care; e.g., he is not just one who simply prescribes, but offers comprehensive holistic care and guidance.
