Where do I begin to praise the expertise of Amanda Hembree? I developed extreme vocal resonance issues resulting from COVID-19. Like the other testamentary patient, I, too, was barely audible. As a novice to speech therapy, I was not aware of the brain voice connection. Within three visits, I began to hear the disparity between my post-COVID resonance and my normal resonance. Amanda was compassionate and empathetic. As one can imagine, COVID-19 has an inherent depressive component. Amanda not only provided guided speech therapy, but she also created a safe environment in which to vent. It is not until one loses his or her ability to speak, one can appreciate the language of genuine warmth and concern. Amanda personified this ability as a speech pathologist.
