I had a different experience with the reviewer below. Ms. Elkinson was also the court appointed custody evaluator for my case and she was the only one my kids trusted and who they felt listened to them about their father’s physically and psychologically abusive behavior. Shortly before Ms. Elkinson was fired, she had recommended a child psych evaluator who had good reviews and was not one of the usual suspects who monopolize the courts and are known to be hired guns. The new custody evaluator, without even meeting my kids, recommended the same hired gun with a bad reputation that the therapist wanted. I refused and I’m so glad I did because we ended up with a fair evaluator who found my ex and the therapist’s concerns were invalid. Don’t know if it was the case here, but I’ve heard that good, ethical professionals are getting blackballed or fired and I know my kids liked and trusted her.
