EMDR therapy is weird at first. I found the lights distracting, so I opted not to use the light bar. However, over time it allowed me to connect current situations to past trauma that I never fully processed. I am no longer terrified of things that used to haunt me. Google EMDR therapy to understand Betty's methods better before you go. It is not cognitive therapy. EMDR works by rewiring your brain over time to avoid an immediate fight-or-flight response to stressful situations.
