My son just turned 18 and aged out of his pediatric practice and we were informed that he needed to find new psychiatrist to manage his ADHD and autism. He's starting college in the fall and needed documentation from the provider in order to be approved for academic accommodations. His pediatrician's office provided his medical records but it was not sufficient. They wanted a letter as well but his pediatrician was out of office for 2 weeks and no one in the office could write this letter. I contacted several local psychiatry offices. One of them never responded or picked up the phone, 1 had a waitlist , the other 2 had wait times greater than a month. I was able to secure an appointment with Betty Yu within a week and a half, was able to text her office directly from her website through a secure app, they actually respond. Met her in person, she reviewed my son's medical records and completed the letter the same day. Good bedside manner and efficient.
