Dr. Litman saved my life. And I don't mean that hyperbolically. I mean literally, I would be dead. Almost two years ago, I was placed on a 51/50 hold (for those of you who may not be familiar with what that term, it is when a person is involuntarily committed to a psych ward for 72 hours, following a suicide attempt). Once released from the psych ward, I started seeing Dr. Litman weekly. His approach with me was unique. Open-minded, healing therapy that later evolved into therapeutic, spiritual instruction. He is not only a licensed doctor, but a Buddhist with an incredibly deep and intimate understanding of Eastern teachings. The best of Western and Eastern medicine is at his fingertips. Let me digress for a second, but I promise there's a point. In my book, there are three types of therapists. The BAD: Listen and give you destructive advice, usually unsolicited. The GOOD: They listen. Let you evaluate and come to your own conclusions, but usually can't offer much "advice" or
