My foster teen's GP referred them to Charlotte for trauma counseling after they came to live with me following a long period of immediate family turmoil. Charlotte has been an amazing resource in helping my teen come to grips with the many changes they've recently endured in their life--including years of living in an unhealthy family dynamic, witnessing substance use and domestic abuse, experiencing emotional, educational, and medical neglect, and eventually being involuntarily (and traumatically) separated from their only known birth parent. My teen has expressed on several occasions that Charlotte is someone they trust and whose guidance they value, and I have seen several positive changes in the way they approach problems, relate to others, and plan for their adult future. I am so grateful for her presence in their life.
