We found Cheryl through Care Solace (a service that helps families find therapists) and chose to talk with her because of her belief that children's anxiety often stems from the parents. We knew there were changes we could make in our parenting which could be a good first step in helping our child. Cheryl's many years of experience as a therapist and also as a former teacher and educator were invaluable, as she was able to help us understand our child's behavior from her perspective and realize that her reactions were normal. She also provided us with many practical suggestions to help address our concerns while also recognizing that not every suggestion would work (every child is different and what works for one child may not work for another). But over the course of a few months we were able to make positive changes to our parenting style which positively impacted our child's mental health. We are glad we found Cheryl and would highly recommend her to other parents seeking help.
