Dr. Fleming has literally been a life-saver for me (think suicide ideation). She has helped me see how negative thought patterns have created self-imposed roadblocks to my sense of well-being. It is not easy to change years of habitual negativity, but Dr. Fleming has shown me a more empathetic way of defining myself and my failures. One valuable insight I received from her was that I lack a support system. It is important to have one. As the poet John Donne wrote, "No man is an island".
