I had a procedure done yesterday in Iowa City at the U of Iowa Hospital and Dalya was my nurse anesthetist. She came and introduced herself, sat down close by me and talked directly to me about everything she would do to prep me and during my surgery. She was most definitely reassuring. She wheeled me down to the OR and told me she was going to put me to sleep. Don’t remember anything until I woke up in recovery. She did breathe for me so she kept me alive during procedure. You want someone you feel comfortable with at times like this and I could not have felt more comfortable with Dalya. She told me numerous times she would treat me like family and then reassured me she DID like her family so I was good to go. Dalya is 100%, grade A, the best. If you get a choice ask for for your anesthetist.
