I am writing this letter in support of Denise Jenkins with Affect Counseling. My therapist was out on medical leave; I hesitated to see someone new, but I am glad I did. Denise was wonderful. A huge part of therapy is getting one of those rare ah-ha moments. You don't get them very often, so when you do, you treasure them. Denise gave me one of my most significant ah-ha moments; I will be forever grateful for that. Whenever I get sad or down, I just think about that session. Denise is so patient and so kind. She listens to everything you say and seems to put the pieces together before she asks questions or offers advice. I always felt safe with her, I knew I could trust her. Denise loves to learn new techniques and modalities to provide her patients with the best care. She is now EMDR certified, allowing her to give that specific type of care. If you are looking for a great therapist, I highly recommend Denise Jenkins, LCSW with Affect Counseling. LEVLisa
