Doreen and I began in 2019. We had bi weekly sessions. Not only is Doreen absolutely experienced in this work, she has many years dealing with victims/survivors of domestic violence and helped me understand what I couldn't before. During covid, we had telehealth and after a yet again another dispute and issues with my abuser and complexity of that, we switched to weekly. She helped me process parental alienation although not recognized by the courts yet is in fact a wide spread and on going issue, that enables rhe cycle to repeat again. She helped me see where I didn't need to keep showing up for breadcrumbs, abuse and further issues with another victim and being triangulated into that. Covid threw a wrench and I rested on my laurels and believed things had changed. They had not. Someone a minor was beginning to voice this, I stuck up and did the protocol. It made no difference. Backfired even. The emotions that came from such injustice not only for myself but someone else.
