I've been seeing Dr. Ossias since 1996. He has literally seen me through my entire adult life, and he is the kind of doctor I grew up with -- knows everything about you and your family, accepts an emergency call with patience at 3 in the morning, secures the best specialists for you when you face a potentially fatal disease and stops by to see you in the hospital after surgery on his own time. He doesn't take insurance, but his lab tests are covered, and why wouldn't you want to spend a few hundred dollars a year on your yearly physical to have someone like that on your team? He is my general doctor but his speciality is hematology and oncology and he teaches at Mt. Sinai. He is the real deal. I don't know when he will retire, he is still in great shape and still an amazing doctor, but if you have the chance to have him as your doctor for even a couple of years, run, do not walk!
