Patient Reviews

I selected Dr. Lentz after extensive research for installation of a male sling (AdVance XP). I had a different uro perform a robotic prostatectomy 13 yrs ago. I was left with moderate incontinence and total impotence. I have avg'd 1 heavy-duty pad per day (abt 100g urine per day) since surgery.I finally decided to do the surgery this year. I had to wait 4 months to see a PA, who recommended a cystoscopy first, but whatever it takes to get this done. It took another 3 months to wait for that and finally meet Dr. Lentz. In the course of our 20 minute meeting, he agreed I was a very good fit for a sling (over an AUS, which I did not want) and agreed that a cystoscopy wasn't necessary at this time. He'd do that during surgery anyway. Another 3 months later, I had the surgery. The surgery took 60-90 minutes. I was in pre-op and recovery longer than surgery. A little over 6 wks since and doing well. I use thin shields for now, but very little leakage as I await full recovery (2-3 mos).

What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams.
