In April 2023, my husband had an elevated PSA (3.50). We had an MRI performed in May 2023. In June 2023, he had a biopsy at the John Wayne Cancer Institute, biopsy result, Gleason score 6. They told us they would monitor his PSA. After 2nd and 3rd opinions, I sent my husband's MRI to the Prostate Laser Center in Houston. Dr. Harman told my husband that the cancerous lesion was very large 2.0 cm, and given the size, he was confident his Gleason score was higher than 6, and that he thinks the first biopsy missed the lesion. We flew to Houston, where Dr. Harman performed a segmented biopsy in-bore. 2nd Biopsy result, Gleason score 7. Dr Harman was confident he could perform FLA despite the size of the lesion. FLA surgery was over 4 hours. Dr. Harman was very empathetic, and professional. Dr. Harman is one of the best doctors!! Dr. Harman saved my husband's life. 6 months post FLA- PSA .3, clean MRI, clean PSMA. God Bless Dr. Harman!
