1. Friendly and engaging 2. Considerate 3. Listened! 4. Instructive 5. Thorough 6. Established immediately why I was there -- we were both on the same page 7. Allowed me to give a review of my condition before he started his evaluation and exam 8. Patient with my need to inform him of all the particulars of my conditions by my written narratives and verbally 9. Explained his care step by step, along with my options and involvement in decision making 10. Encouraged questions throughout the visit 11. Shared examples to establish the basis for his thinking, but did not expound on and on 12. Allowed my input (interruptions) while it was fresh in my elderly mind 13. Not dismissive of what I described or asked, even though it may have been far-fetched 14. Moved visit along with an eye to time - considerate of scheduled patients to be seen 15. Outlined future care – referral for testing and return visit 16. Encouraged again to ask questions and how to accomplish
