He is an incredible surgeon and has previously operated on my son (severe Talas Fracture,Dislocation,Gordon Haywood situation) and my wife (Jones fracture). He is polite and I believe friendly. He is very focused and direct; and this may be why some sensitive people (other reviews) are not positive. Dr. Patel just repaired my torn Achilles and I made sure that I only saw him! Both my wife and son had excellent recoveries with no complications. Billing by UMass as well as Private Insurances are horrible and inflated! There is no equity among patients and the system needs to be more affordable. But to suggest he is not a talented surgeon is not accurate. He is the only option for my family for lower leg problems.
