I've been seeing Dr. Ram for over 3 years and he is *by far* the best psychiatrist I've ever seen. He listens like a top notch therapist, he accepts and believes what you're experiencing when you tell him, and he did something no other psychiatrist in my experience has done; he took the time over numerous sessions to understand me before suggesting medications. Like most people, I don't enjoy trying new medications to see what magical side effects they'll have. Dr. Ram though explains very clearly to me why he's recommending a certain medication and ultimately leaves the decision to proceed up to me. Due to all of these rare qualities he's been successful treating me when no other has. To put it in a single sentence, I fully trust his judgement, ethics, and expertise and I've never trusted any of my past 5 Psychiatrists. If you're fortunate enough to get an appointment with him, keep it.
