Patient Reviews

Until Dr. Khan I've never really felt like I was in good hands for esophageal health, but he really is an expert in his field who I've found very attentive, thorough, and patient, and a reassuring presence. His assistants and nurses have all been great too. The tradeoff is that he's pretty hard to schedule with - he pretty much always has a 3+ month wait time for appointments (even for existing patients), but if you have something really acute / urgent going on, then he and his staff will find a way to squeeze you in, and at the very least talk to you. He's also extremely protective of his time - he will be fully present the full length of your appointment, but once the time is up he will be out the door. I do kinda get this - his time's in high demand, and there aren't a ton of esophagus specialists to go around, but it means you have to be efficient in your appointments. He and his staff are extremely responsive on MyChart though if you have any questions after an appointment.

Board Certifications
What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams. While not all specialties have board certifications, if your provider does have one they’ve taken the extra step to master their specialty and to keep up with the latest advancements in their field.
