As a rheumatologist, I struggled for over a year to find a provider who could diagnose and treat my suspected slipped rib syndrome. Dr. Hansen’s expertise with lower rib syndromes and nerve impingement is unmatched. His bedside manner is outstanding—empathetic, validating, and thorough. He diagnosed 12th rib syndrome with L1 nerve involvement and performed a resection with intraoperative evaluation. He explained the plan clearly and addressed all my concerns. I noticed immediate improvement post-op. Before surgery, I couldn’t sit for more than five minutes without severe pain. Ten days later, I can sit comfortably. His work is transformative, fills a critical gap in care, and brings hope to patients who often go undiagnosed. I’m deeply grateful to him and his exceptional team.
