I saw Dr. Atko not at a private setting, but as a psychiatric inpatient. Despite a lot of complaints about care and attitudes (her included), I think she did what she could in a challenging environment (and I suspect she had become jaded and may be tired - it's not a pleasant place and I wouldn't want her job...). A lot of what she did was inadequate and long-delayed, but this again is likely more to do with the psychiatric and forensic systems. With me, she was always kind and pleasant and while I didn't have any qualifying health needs she could address in that setting, she seemed to genuinely care, checking in about diet and such. She could always be seen rushing to and fro, with a large patient load, getting to everything she had on her plate.
