In May of 2022, I injured my back from taking care of a young man of 18 yo who had a massive seizure in the bathtub. I am an RN who was working for an agency. I carried him over to the couch. A few days later I started getting severe sciatic pain in my left leg. After enduring this for months, I finally decided to go to a neurosurgeon. I had an MRI, and it revealed I had a synovial cyst in the L4-L5 region of my back. I was referred to a pain clinic where I received two cortisone injections near the cyst. It did not help me at all. I went back to my neurosurgeon, Dr. Agarwal of AHN. We decided on surgery. When he operated on me the synovial cyst was wrapped around my sciatic nerve. He had to scrape it off. Plus, I had a bulging disc. Since the cyst was so bad, he was concerned as to whether I would have nerve damage. He also thought it might take six months until I felt better. My surgery was on January 10, 2023. Today is March 13, 2023, and I have very little and at times no pain. In
