I saw Dr Miranda after experiencing acute pain in the region of an ankle implant. He was not the surgeon that performed the implant surgery or any other surgery of either ankle. He was very thorough and listened to my version of symptoms and issues. I felt he was genuinely concerned about my pain and possible complications arising from the implant. He was straight forward in his opinion he could not perform any subsequent surgery on the implant, since that is a highly specialized field in which he is not trained and that very few orthopedic surgeons are trained in. He did provide practical advice on relieving the pain symptoms and how to reduce potential recurrence. He suggested practical tests to eliminate possible causes outside of the implant itself. He did not 'look through me' as some other physicians do to older patients. I was impressed with his thorough method understanding the problem and potential relief.
