While Dr. Benson has an initially gruff exterior, he truly is looking out for the best interest of the patient, which is so rare in this world. To the other reviews on this chain, yes, he is absolutely rude and condescending at times, but I would rather have a rude and condescending physician who knows what he is doing and will work in my best interest, rather than a blubbering, sycophant physician who panders to admins and other groups. Anyways, I think he gives off an initially terrible first impression, but on second glance, he's one of the best people that you could have in your corner. If you give him even a moment's chance to discuss, I am sure that you will have a great experience. Please remember that these folks have a lot going on, intensive care is one of the highest mortality units in the hospital and was arguably hit the hardest during COVID. They are trying their darndest to advocate for their patients in a world that isn't designed for that sort of care.
