Patient Reviews
Oct 17, 2024
I was recently diagnosed with wet macular degeneration. I received my first two injections in my eye from a Brooklyn doctor where I had to wait 2 and a half hours in a filthy waiting room and where there were 38 other people waiting by 9:30 in the morning. It was painful, it was scary and it was chaotic. So, upon recommendation from my Manhattan ophthalmologist, I switched to Dr. Alexander Barash on Park Avenue. . Although I arrived 20 minutes early for my appointment, his staff began assisting me immediately. There was literally no wait time. After the series of tests given by his technician, the doctor came in and showed me the photos that they had taken and explained to me exactly what was wrong with my eyes and what he was going to do. He numbed my eye which the doctor in Brooklyn did not, and I didn’t even know that he had injected the medicine. The entire experience with Doctor Barash was professional, calming, pain free and well worth the time spent traveling to Manhattan.

What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams.
