Patient Reviews
Aug 17, 2024
My vision was foggy and declining. I went to a local well known eye doc and was diagnosed with a rare form of cataract, PPC, in both eyes. He told me he had seen about 3 of these cases over the past 5 years. He was ready to schedule me for surgery and explained I would most likely require a 2nd, follow-up surgery, due to the high risk and probable complications. I got 2nd opinions. I had been to Dr. Katz a few years back for basic eye care and decided to see what he had to say. I did not to mention the previous diagnosis because I wanted a fresh and unbiased opinion. Dr. Katz did the most thorough exam and concluded that I, in fact, had a PPC. He skillfully and thoroughly explained my condition and answered all questions with empathy. He could have hastily signed me up for surgery, but instead chose to do what was best for me. He referred me to a doc who had much more experience with this form of cataract. I ended up in CA for a very successful result. Dr. Katz is the best

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams.
