Patient Reviews
Aug 16, 2024
6 years ago my 28 year old daughter, who was the mother of a 3 month old, suddenly experienced debilitating headaches that her PCP initially thought were migraine in nature. After 3 days of a migraine her speech became more forced with word finding difficulty. We sought further treatment and we're uncompassionately told in a local ER ( not DUMC) that she had a meningioma the size of a peach. We immediately sought treatment at DUMC. Best decision ever! We met a humble, unassuming, but dragon slayer of a neurosurgeon who calmly discussed his plan with a goal to 'get in and out quickly before the brain knows we are there and do so with precision and skill.' An embolization was done, and 24 hours later the surgery was completed and Dr Zomorodi was able to report that he was able to remove ALL the tumor. 6 years later all scans remain clear! My daughter, SIL, grandaughter, and new grandson, and I are so thankful for Dr Zomorodi!

What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams.
