Patient Reviews
Mar 13, 2022
Doctor Coker proved to be a competent skilled surgeon. She proved knowledgeable in my medical case history and sensitive to the individual needs revolving around a hearing impairment. In communicating, she readily used a notepad and made an effort to speak slowly and distinctly. Using easily understandable terms, she described how she handled scar tissue and explained how she used a mesh in the abdominal wall. Throughout the stay at Hopkins, I felt her presence. Each day, sometimes more than once a day, she stopped in. When a member of her team or a student checked in, we felt equally served in a professional manner with excellent medical expertise. Dr. Coker proved a true leader of a cohesive team where each individual seemed equally competent. Questions were answered on a level appropriate to the inquiry and understanding was assured in personable conversational tones which helped lessen the stress involved in a hospital stay and surgery.

Board Certifications
What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams. While not all specialties have board certifications, if your provider does have one they’ve taken the extra step to master their specialty and to keep up with the latest advancements in their field.
