A few years ago, I had a wound that just would not heal. I tried everything. After a few months of trying over-the-counter ointments, I ended up going to the ED (Northwell LIJ). It was revealed to me through testing that I had MRSA and that this was no ordinary wound. In fact, I needed to see a specialist. I was referred to Dr. Oropallo. She was very attentive to my needs and took the time to explain why my wound wouldn't heal. She ordered tests and performed RFA (radiofrequency ablation). She ordered all of the wound care dressings and assisted with scheduling a visiting nurse. YES, there are times when the office is busy. Any office where there are excellent doctors that do their best to see everyone (even emergency cases!) will be busy and may require a wait. However, in my opinion, Dr. Oropallo is worth the wait! After nearly a two-year journey, my wound finally healed! I am so very thankful that I was able to see Dr. Oropallo...you will be, too!
