My four kids have been seeing Dr. Salek for nine years. She's always very friendly and has a fabulous rapport with them; I always feel like I'm going to a parent pump-up session or boot camp during their annual physicals as I'm reminded to make sure their diets are balanced (she says soda only twice/year--on your b-day and your best friend's bday!), that they're still in booster seats and in the rear of the car, wearing sunscreen, using helmets, etc. I've appreciated how thorough she's been when we've had a particular concern about growth, eating, scoliosis, injury, disability, sickness, etc. She's given us a range of treatment ideas and leaves it to us to choose, while recommending the option she prefers and believes will have the best outcome. We moved around a bit before arriving in NL, and I think she's our sixth pediatrician. We finally found one we'll keep for good!
