Dr. Hackett performed my son’s tonsillectomy &adenoidectomy on 8.28.2024. She had about 10 other cases that day and all of us were waiting in our own sections in pre-OP. She came around to each parent individually and answered any questions or concerns we had. I’d say he was out and in recovery within 25 minutes. Everything went smoothly! What I loved is that Dr. Hackett came out and spoke to every parent again to give a brief summary of how things went and again answered any further questions. The most fantastic part of it all was the recovery! We were shocked at how well it went! We were bracing ourselves for the worst. My son’s highest pain level throughout the entire recovery process was 3 out of 10 and that was only on the same day of surgery. The next day and every day after he described his pain level as 1 out of 10. He stopped needing pain medicine altogether by day 5. Thank you, Dr. Hackett! You have changed my son’s life.
