Dr. Weiss Kelly is patient, knowledgeable and accessible. My son is 15 and was diagnosed with patella delamination, fairly rare in children. Our first appointment she evaluated him and talked to him about his symptoms and broke it down so he could understand. Right at that same apt she sent him across the hall to get an X-ray and we got into imaging for an MRI the very next day. Our goal was to avoid surgery, prevent further damage and heal. She ordered therapy and I can tell you it worked. Being 15 he did it in person so I made sure he actually did his therapy. This year he went through the entire football season and no swelling or discomfort. They do not check to see if it healed via imaging again but it appears it did. Cartilage does not regenerate as an adult but since my son was still growing we banked on the possibility it would. He also takes supplements including glucosamine and collagen. She also gave us her cell phone number to reach out if needed and that is rare. Great doc!
