Dr Davenport saved my life. I went to see her for a routine Pap in late Feb and she was very thorough. She wanted to do blood work to test my hormones and do a ultrasound of my uterus due to having irregular periods and heavy bleeding when and pain when I did have them. She did the ultrasound and got me in within a few days. The results showed fibroid(s) and thickening of my endometrium. She scheduled a Myosure and DNC for the next week. Surgery went great and had no complications. When the Pathology reported came in Dr. Davenport called me to come in for follow-up asap. Pathology showed cancerous cells in my tissue. I was very upset and Dr. Davenport was extremely kind and compassionate towards me. She asked what Oncology I would like to go to and I said the one she thought was the best. So she referred me to Dr. Todd at UofL OBGYN Oncology. And she got me in right away, April 8. Dr Todd recommended Radical Hysterectomy that included the ovaries, fallopian tubes and centinnel lymph nodes. Surgery was scheduled May 3rd which was my earliest availability. Just got Pathology results back and I'm Cancer free! Just have to do checkups the next 5 years. Here I thought I wasn't having periods because of my Hoshimotos. I hate to think what would have happened if I hadn't gone to Dr Davenport when I did. Please please, pay close attention to your hormones and menstrual cycles. Endometrial and Uterine cancer is on the rise. Go see Dr. Davenport if you are needing a phenomenal OBGYN
