My husband entered Aspirus Wausau Emergency Dept. with a broken pelvis and a ruptured bowel from a ski accident. We were told 'Life-threatening' condition. Dr. Sweet was the primary surgeon for the initial surgery with Dr. Sindhu assisting. Dr. Sindhu oversaw or performed follow-up surgeries needed to debrid large incisions necessary due to the bowel contaminating his abdomen and upper thigh. When his wound vac was putting out too much fluid Dr. Sindhu did exploritory surgery and stemmed the flow of a lymph leak that then speeded up the healing process. Dr. Sindhu was very responsive to our many questions and concerns. After 18 days in the hospital & rehab my husband came home. When I had concerns I called Surgical Associate's nurse and through My Aspirus I upload pictures and symptoms for Dr. Sindhu's review and recommendations. She made a very stressful time more manageable by her approachability.
