Among other GI problems I had a recurring small bowel obstruction. Other doctors assumed it was from scar tissue from a gall bladder surgery, but I kept telling them I didn't think so because I had similar feelings and symptoms before the gall bladder surgery. Dr. Butt had a hunch. Contacted an oncologist he knew who looked over my CT scans and diagnosed me with a potentially malignant neuroendocrine tumor. Now I'm putting a treatment plan together for that. Potentially, Dr. Butt's "hunch" saved my life.
