Dr. Shahien performed a previous successful and expected recovery from left total shoulder replacement two years earlier. My last visit with Dr. Shahien was to address a more complicated surgical approach and more difficult recovery. Please keep in mind my belief people trying to sell you something are nice to you. It is when something goes amiss post sell is well I grade them as to how they treat you and how they resolve the problem. Dr. Shahien on more than one occasion post op. has taken ownership and provided much empathy during my struggle to regain use of my right upper extremity post total shoulder replacement which included reconstruction of the socket as well and shifting of joint. His continued show of support and empathy along with reminding me of the complexities of this surgery is why I continue to have faith in him as my go to doctor and why I give him the highest ratings.
