I have a very complex and complicated health history and have been trying to negotiate my healthcare as carefully as possible. I am very aware of the medical community but over the last 2-3 years it has become a nightmare. For 6 months I was in hospitals and skilled nursing facilities more than when I was home. It was depressing, exhausting. Dead ends, monumental wait times for appts etc, etc, etc. I was actually assigned Dr. Scheinok as a Hospitalist to help me make appropriate appts, monitor my health and meet up with me overall to make sure I was making progress in dealing with the facilities and was not heading down the road to another stint in the hospital. He has been a God-send and he takes the time to actually delve into the problems I have with a great deal of knowledge. I am ever so grateful to have him advocate for me.
