I met Dr. Jagoda in the ER at Mount Sinai. I waited for almost four hours. Dr. Jagoda was apologetic, friendly, knowledgeable and understanding. In all my years of being discharged by doctors from the ER, I’ve never had a doctor tell me that it is okay to contact him/her via e-mail if my symptoms worsened or if I had any questions, but he did. He wasn’t “straight to the point”, and just trying to get me out of his chair. He actually cared. That meant a lot. It put a genuine smile on my face.
