I have seen Dr. Kirkpatrick as my vascular doctor at the OKC VAMC for the last 5 years. She is a pleasant, caring, knowledgeable, wonderful doctor. She actually knows me when she sees me, not just familiar with my medical record. When going over procedures, or concerns she is very careful to ensure that I understand the big picture, and the fine details. Dr. Kirkpatrick is careful to address my conditions, and how I will interpret those conditions. She knows that I will research whatever she tells me, so as part of her explanation, she acknowledges that I may find some startling (possibly scary) information or statistics and she proactively addresses those items explaining why they are what they are by putting the information in context. I cannot imagine how Dr. Kirkpatrick could possibly be any better, and I am so thankful that she is available to me through the VA! She is a gem and a precious provider, without a doubt my favorite doctor I have ever had.
