Dr Choy is passionate about helping her patients. After years of no diagnosis (apathetic disinterest from Stanford pulmonologist) I tried to self-advocate and researched to see doctors in pulmonary, ENT, Immunology, Allergy, dermatology. I had symptoms in each area, but like the 7 blind men inspecting one part of the elephant, ALL these practitioners addressed the symptom in their speciality - except Dr Choy. I presented all the same data to her as the others, but in less than 5 minutes she came to a diagnosis that completely eluded all the others. A rare eosinophilic based and life threatening disease if left untreated - which I have been for 7 years. Because this complicated diagnosis requires multi-disciplines, she contacted other practitioners on her own time and based on their high regard for her, they saw me immediately. Again (on her own uncompensated time) she co-ordinated their interactions to expedite a diagnosis! Thx is not enough, Dr Choy, for saving my life. Bless you.
