I have been her patient since she came to Catawba Valley Family Medicine -Maiden.She listens to what I tell her, she is very thorough, and when she thinks a specialist needs to be involved, she makes the referral, and makes sure that my medical records are available to the specialist.The last week of April 2022, I went to her, running a fever and very sick. She ordered lab work and gave me some antibiotics, the next morning, she advised me to go to the Emergency Room at Catawba Valley Medical Center, blood cultures were drawn, I was treated with IV antibiotics, released and advised if the temperature got above 101° to return. I returned at 9:00 , the staff started another IV, more antibiotics, I was admitted, Infectious Disease was taking over my care. If it had not been for Dr. O, I would not have survived a sepsis staph infection. I am still having complications from the infection. But if not for the fast response and dedication, I would have died. Thank You Dr O.
