11 out of 10. I had an amazing experience with Dr. Shamie, and I could not be more satisfied with my surgery results! I was recommended to him by a family member who had the exact same surgery done.I came to Dr. Shamie for a second opinion on a massive lumbar disc herniation. The first surgeon recommended a more invasive laminectomy, but after meeting with Dr. Shamie, he was confident he could do a more conservative microdiscectomy. Upon waking, the nerve pain I had prior to surgery was 100% gone. From the date of my MRI to surgery was exactly 2 weeks, and Dr. Shamie was able to get me in for surgery only 1 week after meeting with me. I never had to wait for any of my appointments, even while arriving 15 minutes early.For anyone suffering with similar issues, I would encourage you to reach out to Dr. Shamie's office. Thank you to Dr. Shamie and the entire UCLA staff for a prompt and amazing experience!
