Dr. Brar is a competent psychiatrist who places responsibility on her patients and always asks for input. One thing that people might forget is that Dr. Brar is a doctor and NOT a therapist. If you want emotional support, go to a therapist. Be prepared to do the work with her because she will not do it for you. You are expected to reflect and make decisions. This is important, especially in psychiatry. She has experience with medications/psychiatry but you are the expert of your own life. She will provide the medical/psychiatric expertise you will work with her to adjust and improve your mental health functioning.
