Patient Reviews

During the 18 years I spent as a faculty member of the Tufts School of Medicine Department of Radiology, from 1978 to 2007, Dr Barbara Carter was a friend and mentor. As a radiological physicist in her department, I was involved with CT and MRI technology at its inception, and Dr Carter, in my mind, was an honorary physicist with regard to the deep technical understanding she possessed for the principles of CT, MRI, and radiology equipment in general. As a friend, she was amazing. In 2007, Tufts fired me, and the following day she called me and asked if she could help me with a gift of $5,000 since she knew that my wife, who was disabled, and I would be blackballed by the department and that I might have difficulties finding another position in Boston. Her assumption was 100% correct. I will never forget her generosity and kindness. I should add that I was also privileged to know her husband, Jeff Moore, who was also an incredibly generous and kind gentleman. I apologize for ending my review on a sour note, to say that Tufts School of Medicine did not deserve such wonderful people.

Board Certifications
What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams. While not all specialties have board certifications, if your provider does have one they’ve taken the extra step to master their specialty and to keep up with the latest advancements in their field.
