Patient Reviews

My husband had a full retina detachment in his left eye that was treated by a Hendersonville retinal specialist. His fix didn’t work and he referred us to Wake Forest. About 2 months later he had another partial detachment in his right eye. Extremely challenging times, we cannot say enough about Dr. Hayes or the Wake Forest group, they are simply the best and we thank God we were directed to them. It was an incredibly difficult journey, but the end result has been nothing short of miraculous. Dr. Bartlett Hayes is a top notch surgeon and has the BEST Fellows working alongside of him. Everyone associated with the hospital is wonderful from parking attendants to nurses and support staff to the Doctors. We travelled 2.5-3 hours one way, on 26 occasions in this journey and would do it again. My husband just got a new eyeglass prescription and it has been life changing. It has been 10 months of deeply challenging times and we are now celebrating the great results! Thank you to all involved

Board Certifications
What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams. While not all specialties have board certifications, if your provider does have one they’ve taken the extra step to master their specialty and to keep up with the latest advancements in their field.
