Ditto to everything in the other reviews (as of Nov. 4th, 2024). My own experience details with Dr. Hoyt is that he treats me like a smart person; answers with details which is what I ask for with the questions I always have for him. He draws pictures, explains my MRI's, shows me studies about my specific problems & is always very thorough. I followed Dr. Hoyt into his private practice at Elmhurst from Great Lakes VA when I turned 65 & switched over to Medicare. Dr. Hoyt had performed a carpal tunnel release, cubital release and pronator release (wrist, elbow, forearm), taken out a cyst on the inside of my wrist & repaired my right shoulder rotator cuff at the VA. All surgeries were followed by far less pain than I anticipated because Dr. Hoyt listened to me & HEARD my concerns about pain & pain meds. I will be needing several more surgeries (both shoulders and hands) & will gladly drive an hour to get to Elmhurst Hosp even though there are closer docs & hospitals. Thank you Dr. H!
